Salsify Platform Administrator

Our Client is seeking a Salsify Platform Administrator to lead the strategy, governance, and optimization of their Product Experience Management (PXM) ecosystem.

Key responsibilities include:

• Platform Ownership & Governance: Administer, configure, secure, license, document, and continuously improve Salsify. Build and maintain scalable data models, attributes, taxonomies, hierarchies, permissions, validation rules, and approval controls aligned to business requirements.
• Workflow & Automation Configuration: Design, configure, and support workflow engines and automation for product onboarding, enrichment, localization, approvals, and publishing. Drive content completeness, accuracy, consistency, and readiness across complex product catalogs.
• Retailer & Channel Syndication: Manage retailer and marketplace requirements, mappings, transformations, validations, publishing schedules, error handling, and onboarding of new digital shelves across brands and regions.
• Enterprise Integrations: Lead functional and technical integrations between Salsify and ERP, PLM, DAM, MDM, eCommerce, CRM, data platforms, and marketplaces using APIs, imports/exports, mappings, and automation.
• Operational Excellence: Own incident escalation, root-cause analysis, release testing, upgrades, access reviews, monitoring, vendor coordination, and support procedures. Establish measurable service and data-quality controls while ensuring data lineage, upstream field governance, and the integrity of data flowing into Salsify.
• Business Enablement: Translate business needs into scalable solutions. Partner with Marketing, Product, Digital Commerce, Sales, Supply Chain, Legal/Compliance, and IT teams. Deliver platform enhancements, train users, mentor administrators, and manage the enhancement backlog based on business priorities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, product information management (PIM), digital commerce, or product content operations, including 3+ years of hands-on Salsify administration in a complex enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated success managing product data at scale across multiple brands, categories, languages, regions, retailers, marketplaces, and business units within manufacturing or consumer products organizations.
• Deep expertise in PIM/PXM concepts, product data modeling, taxonomy management, metadata, digital asset management, data governance, workflow design, content syndication, retailer schemas, and digital shelf readiness.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, CSV, data mapping, transformation, ETL/iPaaS processes, scheduled feeds, error recovery, and interface troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to integrate Salsify with ERP, PLM, DAM, MDM, eCommerce, CRM, analytics platforms, retailers, and marketplace ecosystems. Experience with SQL and cloud-based integration platforms is highly preferred.
• Strong background owning production support, release management, testing strategies, security and access controls, documentation, vendor management, and cross-functional change initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Digital Commerce, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience gathering requirements, setting priorities, and translating retailer, brand, and business needs into scalable platform solutions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Greensboro, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $75.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
