This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. What You’ll Get To Do: This candidate will join the System Integration (SI) team under Sentinel Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) working on electrical design integration (EDI) at the Weapon System Integration (WSI) level. The function of this role will assist the WSI EDI team’s mission to identify, assess and resolve requirement, architecture and process gaps that impact design continuity and integrity to ensure successful weapon system integration and full lifecycle capability effectiveness. Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following: Develop Captial interconnect & logic diagrams in support of Weapon System Architecture development. Support electrical design of cross-segment Weapon System hardware. Review engineering deliverables such as interface control documents (ICDs), system one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, part data sheets, interconnect connect diagrams, specifications, electrical analysis and trade studies. May perform research, trade studies, evaluation, and systems integration in electrical or electro-mechanical systems, cables, connectors, power systems, test equipment, and more. Develop courses of action (COAs) and recommended path forward in support of gap/problem resolution. Attend internal program, and/or technical exchange meetings. Support formal program milestone events. Working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative settings across all levels. Ensure appropriate coordination between electrical design and other integration teams. Coordinate electrical system engineering content and work products. Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, milestone reviews, and government contracting. Experience maintaining and reporting status of program activities to leadership. Basic Qualifications: Electrical Engineer Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, or 0 years of experience with a Master’s degree. Principal Engineer Electrical: Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree, or 0 years of experience with a PhD. Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. Experience with Systems Engineering methods and design practices. Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities. Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc). Must have experience developing electrical designs using tools such as Capital, AutoCAD, or similar design software tools. Knowledge of interconnect architecture development Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Work across disciplines and functional groups for design uniformity. Strong written and verbal communication for preparing technical reports, specifications, and presenting design concepts to stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in creating system engineering models, interconnect diagrams, Capital electrical drawings, and one-line diagrams. Ability to develop interface block diagram and wiring diagrams to be used to produce cable assembly BTP’s (Build to Package’s) Strong understanding of systems modeling, electrical design, and performance characteristics (e.g., voltage rating, current carrying capacity, shielding) Strong ability to use and interpret industry/Military standards and codes (IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEC 60332, IEEE 299, UL, NEC 770, ISO 9001) Knowledgeable of IPC/WHMA-A-620. Knowledgeable with Siemens Teamcenter PLM or equivalent. Proficiency with CAD/ECAD tools for cable design (Siemens Capital). Ability to read Cameo models, creating system block diagrams, creating interconnect drawings Ability to perform cable analysis, voltage drop, and ampacity calculations using analytical methods or software. Experience maintaining and reporting status of program activities. Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
