We're supporting a leading industrial organisation seeking an experienced Senior APC / RTO Engineer to join a growing optimisation and operational excellence team.

This role will focus on the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Advanced Process Control (APC) and Real-Time Optimisation (RTO) applications across large-scale process manufacturing assets.

Working closely with Operations, Process Engineering and Automation teams, you'll be responsible for identifying performance improvement opportunities, delivering optimisation projects, supporting existing APC applications and helping drive measurable business value through improved efficiency, stability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain APC and RTO applications.
• Lead optimisation initiatives across operating facilities.
• Improve process stability, production performance and energy efficiency.
• Monitor APC performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Support troubleshooting, controller tuning and application enhancement activities.
• Work with internal stakeholders and external technology providers to deliver optimisation projects.
• Promote best practice and knowledge sharing across engineering and operations teams.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Control Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in APC, MPC, RTO or Process Optimisation.
• Background in petrochemicals, refining, chemicals, LNG or other continuous process industries.
• Experience with technologies such as AspenTech, Honeywell, Pavilion, Yokogawa or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of process control, modelling and plant operations.
