Senior Associate Director, GSIB - Division of Supervision & Regulation - R025800 Primary Location : DC-Washington Employee Status : Regular Overtime Status : Exempt Job Type : Standard Relocation Provided : Yes Compensation Grade Low : FR PAY GRADE D2 Compensation Grade High : FR PAY GRADE D2 Minimum Salary : $265,900.00 Maximum Salary : $327,200.00 Posting Date : Sep 14, 2026 Position Description Senior Associate Director, GSIB (Globally Systemically Important Banks) Summary: Reporting to the Deputy Director of Supervision, the Senior Associate Director, GSIB portfolio director is the accountable officer overseeing all elements of the national supervisory program for the domestic globally systemically important banks (GSIBs), which includes a large, complex organization of over 400 employees across the Board of Governors and several Reserve Banks. The Senior Associate Director serves as the portfolio’s strategic leader, setting and overseeing execution of the Federal Reserve's supervisory strategy for the GSIB portfolio, and has decision-making authority for the supervision of the GSIBs. This officer collaborates extensively with colleagues responsible for financial stability, supervision of financial market utilities and large and foreign banking organizations, and regulatory policy making. This position is located in Washington, DC. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the GSIB portfolio’s strategic leader. Set and manage execution of the GSIB portfolio supervisory strategy and program consistent with the Division’s overall supervisory strategy as directed by the Deputy Director for Supervision and the priorities set by the Vice Chair for Supervision. Direct execution of the GSIB supervision program and promote consistency across the various aspects of the portfolio, including with respect to supervisory findings and ratings. Oversee GSIB portfolio operations and resources across multiple Federal Reserve banks, including operating processes, communication, talent management, and financial management. Oversee portfolio monitoring and reporting. Serve as the GSIB portfolio’s single point of contact for Board and Reserve Bank senior leaders and Members of the Board. Prioritize and respond to requests and decision needs and coordinate and manage information flow between the Reserve Banks and the Board as well as within the Board. Engage collaboratively with Reserve Bank GSIB portfolio staff and leadership on various supervisory matters, and decisions, bringing stakeholders together for discussions/vetting. Coach and mentor current and emerging leaders while establishing clear accountability and empowering decision-making at all levels. Make decisions on key GSIB supervisory matters, including GSIB supervisory strategy, plans, ratings, and other material issues in consultation with the Deputy Director for Supervision. Escalate key supervisory matters, concerns, and decisions to the Deputy Director for Supervision. Engage regularly with the Large & Foreign Banking Organizations (LFBO), Regional & Foreign Banking Organizations (RFBO), Community Banking Organization (CBO) and Significant Service Providers (SSP) portfolio directors to ensure strong coordination and consistency, where possible, across the portfolios. Manage GSIB portfolio interagency (domestic and foreign) coordination consistent with overall interagency coordination efforts. Provide GSIB portfolio supervisory perspective on GSIB-related policy matters. Support Board matters requiring GSIB portfolio supervisory perspective, including Board/governor briefings, governor meeting preparation, Vice Chair for Supervision speech support, Congressional inquiries, and other public affairs matters. Represent the Federal Reserve at internal and external speaking engagements, interagency meetings, Congressional briefings, and other outreach events on GSIB supervision and related topics.
