Senior Business Analyst - Digital Assets

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Digital Assets to support the crypto payment processing and alternative payment workflows. Working alongside the Product team, you will translate product strategy into precise functional specifications for digital asset transactions, wallet services, and custody integrations, partnering closely with Engineering, Compliance, and Operations in a regulated, multi-jurisdiction environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the analysis and documentation of business and functional requirements for digital asset transaction flows, from pre-analysis through detailed functional specifications
• Produce clear, complete, and testable specifications (SRS, user stories, acceptance criteria) for transaction lifecycles, account management, and third-party integrations
• Analyse and document integration requirements for custody providers, financial infrastructure vendors, and payment processors, including API contracts, webhooks, and error handling
• Map end-to-end transaction flows — address generation, deposit detection, confirmations, withdrawals, screening, reconciliation — including edge cases and failure modes
• Translate AML/KYT, Travel Rule, and jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements into functional requirements, working directly with Compliance and Legal
• Define data requirements and reporting needs to support reconciliation, monitoring, and regulatory reporting
• Support Engineering during delivery: clarify requirements, assess change impact, and validate that delivered functionality meets specification
• Contribute to UAT planning and execution for core platform updates, including vendor sandbox testing
• Maintain product documentation in Confluence and manage requirements in Jira to department standards
• Mentor other Business Analysts and contribute to raising specification standards across the department

Requirements

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years on crypto, digital asset, or blockchain-based products
• Proven experience writing detailed functional specifications for technical products — API integrations, transaction systems, or payment flows — that engineering teams can build from without ambiguity
• Understanding of blockchain fundamentals: major networks (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron), stablecoins, transaction confirmation models, network fees, and their operational implications
• Experience documenting integrations with custody providers, on/off-ramps, or crypto payment processors (e.g., Fireblocks, BitGo, or similar) is a strong advantage
• Knowledge of crypto-specific compliance: AML/KYT screening, Travel Rule, and awareness of frameworks such as MiCA
• Familiarity with API documentation, webhooks, idempotency, and asynchronous processing, with the ability to discuss system behavior with Engineering
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data mapping, process modeling, and edge-case analysis
• Fluency in English; additional languages would be considered an advantage
• Experience in fintech, brokerage, exchange, or other regulated high-risk environments is a strong advantage
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
