Senior Business Recruiter

About the Role

Join the recruiting team at an applied AI startup and lead full-cycle hiring across business and operations functions. You will partner with company leaders to build teams that support the development of AI systems trained on expert work and reasoning.

What You'll Do

• Own sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing for roles across strategic projects, operations, and go-to-market.

• Build proactive pipelines of candidates from finance, consulting, private equity, technology, and other rigorous business environments.

• Partner with recruiting and executive leaders to define hiring profiles, prioritize searches, and run structured interview processes.

• Build and improve recruiting infrastructure, including scorecards, interview rubrics, sourcing tools, and offer processes.

• Track funnel metrics, assess conversion at each stage, and refine recruiting strategies based on results.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of recruiting experience, with a strong track record owning searches from sourcing through close.

• Experience in both agency and in-house recruiting, including recruiting at a high-growth startup.

• Background hiring for finance, consulting, private equity, operations, or go-to-market roles, and ability to build pipelines from selective talent pools.

• Familiarity with recruiting tools such as Ashby and LinkedIn Recruiter.

• Strong communication skills, high agency, and comfort working in a fast-moving environment with ambiguity.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $150,000 to $225,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site, five days per week in San Francisco, California, United States.
