Senior Counsel - Energy / Renewables (Singapore Based)

We are working with a highly regarded MNC, with a established legal team and an excellent work stream / team in place. This is a new role to support APAC business leaders, based in Singapore (regional HQ).

Location = Singapore, relocation offered.

Focus

• Transaction / Commercial: 70%
• Regulation and Projects: 30%

Responsibilities

• You will play a lead role in supporting APAC focused transactions teams, from origination/structuring through to negotiation /closure.
• You will support in-country leaders on a range of commercial / energy focused agreements.
• You will work closely with regulators to ensure key legislative/compliance changes are taken into account throughout on-going transactions.
• You will work across key / complex markets in Asia, such as Japan and Korea.

Requirements

• 7 - 12 PQE
• Strong background in energy / transactional work
• Tier 1 law firm training, ideally with either secondments and/or In-House exposure
• Ability to work across the region and examples of running lead on complex negotiations
• Ability to work regionally and also in a global matrix organization
