THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
Portfolio Management in Corporate Credit Risk are looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst based out of Milton Keynes.
As a Portfolio Analyst you will be responsible for undertaking detailed analysis on the corporate and commercial risk portfolio.
The team undertake management and regulatory reporting, provide ad hoc analysis to the CRO and monitor the bank’s risk appetite limits, engaging a wide range of stakeholders.

- Enhancing packs and reports used at senior risk committees and the wider business.
- Ensuring all Credit Risk MI is produced with a high level of accuracy and to agreed timescales.
- Ensuring all key attributes / risks of the sector are captured and addressed.
- Contributing to PRA (and other regulator) requests relating to Credit Risk, across Front Office and Risk.
- Challenging and seeking to generate actionable insights through analysis performed, informing decisions on policy, pricing, strategy, etc.
- Solving complex business problems using data analytics tools and providing practical value-based solutions.
- Identifying key portfolio issues requiring further investigation using in depth knowledge of credit portfolio performance.
- Enhancing the digital data proposition to allow improved visualisation and analysis of portfolio trends by utilising the data and tools available including SAS and PowerBI.
- Ensuring that solid links are fostered between Risk and other key business areas.

Professional Experience:
- A good working knowledge of the Corporate & Commercial Bank, or Experience in CCB credit risk or Front Office/Line 1 (Preferred)
Education:
- Degree level in a subject (e.g. Maths, Statistics, Operational Research, Physics, or Engineering, ideally 2:1) and/or equivalent qualifications/experience (Preferred)
Hard Skills:
- Analytical, with excellent attention to detail – able to quickly spot potential mistakes and/or anomalies (Required)
- Coding/Data manipulation experience (e.g. SAS, SQL or equivalent such as Python, VBA) and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to create reports independently (Required)
- Experience in development of PowerBI Dashboards (Preferred)
Soft Skills:
- Resiliency to setbacks, with the tenacity, drive and keen eye for detail required to solve complex challenging problems. Curious, creative and not afraid to speak up and challenge when necessary (Required)
- Good oral & written communication and excellent stakeholder management skills (Preferred)

Salary Range:
£37,762.00 - £56,642.00 per annum (depending on experience)
This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
