Senior Design Engineer

About the Role

Join the product team at a Series A cloud infrastructure startup, where you will shape and implement polished experiences for a platform that helps developers deploy and manage applications in their own cloud environments. This hands-on role focuses on information architecture, micro-interactions, and frontend craft, with room to grow into broader ownership of the design function.

What You'll Do

• Refine core product flows and improve the information architecture of the platform.

• Design and implement detailed interfaces, paying close attention to visual polish and micro-interactions.

• Collaborate with product teammates and frontend engineers to bring design work into the product.

• Review designs with the team and help implement a product-wide visual refresh.

• Build reusable components and patterns, and use AI tools to move work forward faster.

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of experience in product design or micro-interaction engineering, with recent hands-on work in product design.

• A portfolio that demonstrates strong craft, curiosity, and attention to detail.

• Comfort implementing designs in code, not only creating them in design tools.

• Experience working with frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript.

• Experience building reusable components and patterns.

• Based in or willing to relocate to New York City.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $220,000 to $280,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.
