Vacancy Information

As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take full responsibility for the design and delivery of high-voltage primary systems from basic design through to detailed design and project execution. Your focus sits firmly in the domain of HV primary components and the supporting structures required for their installation and mounting. This includes power transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, current and voltage instrument transformers, cable and overhead line connections, and all associated civil and structural support arrangements.

You will work closely with the Lead Engineer and Technical Manager across all project phases, translating functional requirements into concrete technical solutions and ensuring all deliverables meet client specifications, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements. When design bottlenecks arise you identify and resolve them. When quality checks are needed you perform them. This is a role with genuine technical ownership and direct involvement from the earliest design stages through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Translating functional designs and client requirements into concrete technical designs and project plans for HV primary systems.
• Designing and verifying integrated solutions based on client specifications, applicable technical standards and guidelines, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, engineering drawings, calculations, and execution documents across all project phases.
• Supporting the Lead Engineer and Technical Manager from basic design through to detailed execution design.
• Identifying and resolving design bottlenecks, reporting findings to the wider project team, and performing quality checks on all deliverables.
• Working closely with Protection and Control, civil, and structural disciplines to ensure that primary component installations are fully integrated and constructible.

What You Need

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Solid working knowledge of high-voltage primary components including power transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, and current and voltage instrument transformers. Hands-on design experience with these components is a strong advantage.
• A genuine interest in working with electrical networks and power engineering at the high-voltage level.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to develop and verify integrated technical solutions under real project conditions.
• A proactive and results-oriented mindset with the drive to deliver quality outcomes for both the project and your own professional development.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team across all project phases.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
