Position: Senior Front-End Developer (Vue.js 3 + Europa Component Library)
Experience: Minimum 6 years
Location: Remote / Hybrid / On-site (as applicable)
Contract Type: Full-time

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Front-End Developer with at least 6 years of professional experience in front-end development, including strong expertise in Vue.js 3 and the Europa Component Library (ECL). The successful candidate will join international digital transformation projects, contributing to the development of high-quality, accessible, responsive, and user-centric web applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using Vue.js 3.

  • Build reusable and scalable UI components leveraging the Europa Component Library (ECL).

  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, back-end developers, product owners, and stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design principles.

  • Translate functional and technical requirements into robust front-end solutions.

  • Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level developers.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.

  • Contribute to CI/CD processes and front-end best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in front-end web development.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Vue.js 3, Composition API, and state management patterns.

  • Proven experience working with the Europa Component Library (ECL).

  • Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS.

  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON-based services.

  • Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).

  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with European Commission or other EU institution projects.

  • Experience with Nuxt.js.

  • Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

  • Familiarity with Docker and cloud-native environments.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
