Senior GCP Engineer with AI

We're seeking a Senior GCP Engineer with AI expertise to build and oversee cloud infrastructure for a data mesh architecture initiative, with particular emphasis on the AI stack within GCP. In this role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams—including data engineers and architects—to drive the successful deployment and refinement of the GCP platform.

Responsibilities

• Submit requests for various services or permissions to the Central Cloud Engineering team via the established JIRA workflow
• Design, configure, and maintain the GCP environment supporting the data mesh architecture initiative
• Partner with multiple teams to establish cloud infrastructure requirements while ensuring the GCP platform remains scalable, secure, and reliable
• Build CI/CD pipelines and implement automation using cloud-specific deployment models through GitHub Actions
• Develop and update documentation covering GCP infrastructure and deployment processes
• Diagnose and fix technical issues or performance bottlenecks within the GCP platform
• Adhere to established standards, best practices, and guidelines

Requirements

• 5+ years designing and implementing cloud infrastructure
• Deep expertise across Google Cloud Platform services, spanning compute, storage, networking, and security
• Proficiency in Shell scripting, GitHub Actions, and Terraform
• Hands-on experience with GKE, Anthos Service Mesh / Istio, and Helm charts
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals, including firewall rule configuration
• Experience working with GCP Monitoring and Logging tools
• Strong command of DevOps methodologies and tools, particularly continuous integration and deployment
• English proficiency at B2 level or above
