QUDORA Technologies is a quantum technology start-up from Lower Saxony (Germany) developing full-stack quantum computers based on ion trap technology. Quantum computers hold the promise of outperforming today’s supercomputers within the next decade and solve some of the world’s most challenging problems by unleashing the power of quantum mechanics.

QUDORA and its patented technology belong to the spearhead of the German quantum computing landscape. We have won multiple projects and signed a contract to develop a quantum computer prototype for the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in context of the German Quantum Computing Initiative.

Your Responsabilites

• Operating ion-trap quantum computers together with our team in Hamburg
• Programming and optimizing pulse sequences that are executed on our ion trap quantum processors
• Developing and characterizing calibration and automatization routines
• Collaborating with our electronics and mechanics teams to develop hardware modules and components for our next gen ion-trap quantum computers
• Improving the reliability and increasing up-time of our cloud-accessed quantum computers
  
  

Your Compensation Package

• Financial compensation: We value industrial and/or academic experience with a competitive salary and offer you a mobility allowance for public transport in the form of the German Jobticket.
• Relocation support: If you are moving to join us for this position, we will provide financial support.
• Flexible working models: You can organize your weekly working hours flexibly. This position offers the possibility of one day of home office per week. The main focus of the work is expected to be on-site at DESY Campus, Hamburg.
• Rest periods: You will receive 30 days of vacation. Additionally, we grant the 24th and 31st of December as extra holiday.

Your Profile

• PhD in physics with focus on trapped-ion research
• Excellent understanding of light-matter interaction and coherent operations with single ions
• Experience with real-time electronic control systems and programming of pulse sequences
• Experience with single-frequency lasers and ultra-high vacuum systems
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

• PostDoc experience on trapped-ion experiments
• Experience with ARTIQ
