Senior LANSA Developer | IBM i / AS400

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for a Senior LANSA Developer with strong hands-on experience in Visual LANSA, RDML/RDMLX, LANSA Frameworks, and IBM i (AS400/iSeries) environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using LANSA.
• Build and maintain screens, business logic, and application components.
• Support applications running on IBM i / AS400 environments.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and DB2 database solutions.
• Troubleshoot application, database, batch, and system issues.
• Monitor system performance and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support batch processing, job queues, and message queues.
• Provide production support and implement permanent technical fixes.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong experience with Visual LANSA
• Hands-on RDML / RDMLX development
• LANSA Frameworks and Repository concepts
• LANSA screen development and business logic
• Strong IBM i / AS400 / iSeries experience
• DB2/400 / DB2 expertise
• Strong SQL skills
• Data modelling and production data troubleshooting
• SQL query optimization and performance tuning
• Experience with batch processing and job queues
• Experience with message queues
• System monitoring and performance troubleshooting
• Strong production support and incident resolution experience
