Senior Linux Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize critical enterprise infrastructure across Linux and AIX environments. The role involves advanced system administration, complex troubleshooting, storage and virtualization management, infrastructure migrations, and automation development, contributing to infrastructure standardization and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Manage, upgrade, and patch critical Linux services and infrastructure
• Perform advanced administration of Oracle Linux, RHEL, and IBM AIX environments
• Troubleshoot complex Linux, Unix, storage, networking, and virtualization issues
• Administer IBM Power Systems and VMware vSphere environments
• Perform storage provisioning and complex storage configuration changes
• Analyze and optimize the performance of Linux, AIX, VMware, and storage infrastructure
• Perform server, platform, and storage migrations
• Execute firmware updates and platform upgrades
• Develop, maintain, and improve automation using Ansible AWX
• Write and maintain advanced Bash scripts to automate system administration tasks
• Administer and maintain infrastructure monitoring and management tools, including Zabbix, PRTG, and Foreman
• Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurring incidents
• Participate in infrastructure automation and standardization initiatives
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members
• Handle complex infrastructure incidents and contribute to architectural improvements

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Enterprise Linux administration
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle Linux, RHEL, and Linux system administration
• Strong experience with IBM AIX administration
• Experience administering IBM Power Systems
• Advanced knowledge of networking and the classical system administration stack
• Hands-on experience with storage administration, provisioning, and complex storage changes
• Experience with VMware vSphere and virtualization technologies
• Knowledge of Linux, AIX, virtualization, and storage performance analysis and troubleshooting
• Experience with server, platform, and storage migrations, as well as firmware and platform upgrades
• Practical experience developing and maintaining Ansible AWX automation
• Advanced Bash scripting skills
• Experience with Zabbix, PRTG, and Foreman
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience performing root cause analysis
• Proven experience working in medium-to-large enterprise environments
• English Level B2
