About The Role
Valmar Support Services is seeking an experienced leader in Quality, Compliance and People to support the delivery of high-quality, safe and compliant aged care and disability support services across Canberra and south east NSW locations.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will work closely with operational leaders and team members to strengthen a culture of excellence across quality systems, compliance, clinical governance and continuous improvement. The position involves both strategic leadership and operations, with regular travel to Valmar locations.

About The Role
Valmar Support Services is seeking an experienced leader in Quality, Compliance and People to support the delivery of high-quality, safe and compliant aged care and disability support services across Canberra and south east NSW locations.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will work closely with operational leaders and team members to strengthen a culture of excellence across quality systems, compliance, clinical governance and continuous improvement. The position involves both strategic leadership and operations, with regular travel to Valmar locations.
In This Role, You Will
- Lead and monitor quality assurance, audit and accreditation processes across Valmar Support Services.
- Identify compliance gaps and work collaboratively with operational teams to implement corrective actions through education.
- Monitor audit recommendations and support the timely completion of improvement actions.
- Build and foster a culture of compliance, safety and excellence.
- Analyse incidents, complaints and quality indicators to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare reports for management and the Board, and for regulatory purposes.
- Support the ongoing development and implementation of policies, procedures and the Clinical Governance Framework.
- Lead best practice to ensure the maintenance of effective incident reporting, risk management and compliance systems.
- Lead the organisation's people strategy, workforce governance and organisational development.
To succeed in this position, you will bring:
- Extensive experience in aged care and/or disability support services and knowledge of the quality standards and the regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience conducting audits and supporting corrective action and continuous improvement processes.
- Strong analytical, investigation and problem-solving capabilities.
- Executive level communication skills.
- The ability to engage constructively with residents, families, employees, managers and external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality, accountability and safe care.
- Extensive experience using quality management systems and compliance software.
- The capacity and willingness to travel between Valmar hubs.
