About the Role
Join an applied machine learning team building production AI systems for accounting workflows. You will own projects from initial scoping and experimentation through deployment, helping make agent-based systems more capable, measurable, and reliable.
What You'll Do
Design and iterate on multi-agent architectures for complex workflows, including autonomy boundaries, tool use, and fallback behaviors.
Build planning, context, and memory systems that support coherent agent behavior across multiple steps.
Route, evaluate, and optimize models against real-world constraints such as latency, cost, and accuracy.
Develop automated offline and online evaluation pipelines, define representative tasks and metrics, and run structured experiments.
Instrument systems to detect regressions, categorize errors, and support continuous improvement.
Build prompt and retrieval pipelines that turn unstructured documents into useful representations for reasoning.
Implement guardrails and validation layers, and communicate project plans, progress, and findings with your team.
What We're Looking For
At least 3 years of AI or machine learning engineering experience, including production systems experience.
Strong Python skills and a solid foundation in computer science or a related technical field.
Hands-on experience building end-to-end LLM or transformer-based agent applications, including model orchestration, benchmarking, and evaluation.
Experience designing agent systems, retrieval and indexing pipelines, and methods for parsing unstructured documents.
Experience framing hypotheses, building evaluation infrastructure, and improving model performance through measurable experiments.
Background in a fast-paced technology company, AI-focused organization, hedge fund, or complex software environment.
