About the Role
Build and operate the security infrastructure behind an enterprise conversational AI platform. As an early engineer working across platform and security, you will create reliable systems and developer workflows that help teams ship secure services by default.
What You'll Do
Design secure, multi-tenant cloud infrastructure that protects customer data and supports AI model serving.
Build reusable service templates, libraries, Terraform modules, policies, and automation that make secure deployment the default.
Own infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices, including policy-as-code and production workflows.
Develop and operate tooling for detection, secrets management, identity and access management, and automated remediation.
Partner with security, infrastructure, and product teams to turn compliance requirements into automated technical controls.
Participate in security on-call, improve observability and runbooks, and apply lessons from incidents.
What We're Looking For
At least 5 years of experience building and operating production infrastructure, with infrastructure or application security experience or a strong interest in security engineering.
Hands-on production expertise with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitOps tooling such as Argo CD or Flux.
Depth in GCP or AWS, including compute, networking, IAM, cloud security, and secrets management.
Proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript for automation and developer-facing tools.
Experience scaling infrastructure in a high-growth, engineering-focused environment, with strong computer science fundamentals.
Familiarity with secure container deployment, service mesh, observability, incident response, and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range: $200,000 to $330,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site in San Francisco, California, United States, five days per week.
