Senior Python Software Engineer

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Experience: 6-8 years.

Hybrid: 2 days Work from Home 3 days Work from Office

Your Profile & DNA:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Software Engineer with strong expertise in software engineering, cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and modern development methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions using Python, while applying best practices in software design, automation, CI/CD, and cloud-native development.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions using Python
• Build and optimize CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps and Azure Release Pipelines
• Develop and support cloud-based solutions and containerized applications
• Apply clean coding practices, OOP principles, and software engineering best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile and DevOps teams
• Drive technical discussions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity and code quality

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 3–5 years of hands-on Python development experience
• Strong knowledge of Python, OOP, inheritance, and clean code practices
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Release Pipelines
• Experience with Docker and Git
• Understanding of cloud fundamentals
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
• Ability to evaluate and apply AI-generated solutions securely and effectively
