We are seeking a Senior Radiation Therapist to join our team at Icon Cancer Centre Canberra .
This role is ideal for an experienced Radiation Therapist looking to further develop their clinical expertise within a busy, high-performing centre. Working closely with our Radiation Therapy Manager and multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient-centred care across both planning and treatment services.
This is a full-time position , working a 9-day fortnight across Monday to Friday business hours.

Located on-site at Canberra Specialist Medical Centre, the centre is led by a team of highly experienced cancer specialists providing a comprehensive range of treatments including radiation therapy, chemotherapy and treatment for blood disorders.
Our dedicated multidisciplinary team is committed to understanding each patient's individual needs and supporting them throughout every stage of their cancer treatment journey.
The Radiation Oncology department cares for a diverse patient cohort and offers the latest radiotherapy techniques and equipment, including Identify, HyperArc, IGRT, IMRT, VMAT and stereotactic capabilities . The department utilises a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator , ARIA patient information management system , and Eclipse Planning .

- Deliver high-quality radiation therapy planning and treatment in accordance with prescribed treatment protocols
- Provide safe, patient-centred care that meets all relevant quality and safety standards
- Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists and the broader multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement
- Support outstanding patient experiences through compassionate and professional care
- Maintain the highest standards of treatment delivery and patient safety
You are a motivated and adaptable Radiation Therapist who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
Skills & Experience
- Current AHPRA registration as a Radiation Therapist
- ACT Radiation Use Licence, or ability to obtain one (assistance available)
- Strong technical expertise in radiation therapy planning and treatment delivery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centred care
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of private healthcare service delivery models
- Commitment to clinical protocols, quality standards and continuous improvement
