Our client is seeking an experienced recruiter to join its growing Life & Annuities practice, focused specifically on the Sales & Distribution market across the United States.

This is a unique opportunity to join an established platform with over 11 years of presence in the Life & Annuities market, leveraging existing client relationships, terms of business and a strong brand while building out a high-growth specialist desk.

The successful individual will work closely with the Director and the wider team to scale the Sales & Distribution offering, bringing experienced recruitment and business development expertise into a market that has already demonstrated strong early success and significant growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and develop the US Life & Annuities Sales & Distribution market.
• Generate new business and establish relationships with senior hiring stakeholders.
• Deliver retained and contingent recruitment assignments across sales, distribution and commercial leadership functions.
• Execute candidate-led business development and proactive market mapping.
• Develop long-term client relationships through consultative engagement.
• Support and mentor junior consultants within the team through sharing best practice and market knowledge.

Experience needed

• 5 years recruitment experience.
• Strong track record of business development and client acquisition.
• Experience building a desk, market or specialism from scratch.
• Ability to operate autonomously with a high degree of ownership.
• Strong commercial acumen and relationship-building skills.
• Proven success working in competitive markets where new business generation is critical.
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and commercial personalities.
• Resilient, proactive and highly coachable.

Preferred route: UK-based relocating to New York after 6 months.

• Manchester or London is the preferred UK location.
• Candidates must be comfortable working US hours and collaborating with US teams.
• Candidates already authorised to work in the US may be able to relocate immediately.
