Our client is a defense and aerospace manufacturing company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Lead the creation and expansion of validation setups for mission-critical electronic equipment, from early development through full system integration. You will decide how hardware gets verified, select measurement equipment, build automated solutions and work alongside design engineers to close out issues uncovered during testing.
What you'll do

- Take ownership of test development from individual components through to full system integration.
- Automate and scale test procedures so they keep pace with rising production volume.
- Investigate unexpected hardware behavior, drive fault diagnosis to the underlying cause and feed findings back to design engineers.
- Run qualification and environmental test campaigns covering vibration, thermal and electromagnetic interference.
What we're looking for
- 3 to 8 years of experience testing high-power or RF sub-assemblies.
- Track record of owning electrical hardware design from architecture through first bring-up.
- Background building hardware in a fast-moving industry such as aerospace, automotive or robotics.
- A degree in engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- Experience laying out demanding PCBs that combine analog and digital circuitry at high speeds.
- Hands-on experience creating automated test equipment from the ground up.
- Proficiency in Python or C++ for test automation.
- Willingness to critique a product as a whole and challenge decisions when warranted.
- U.S. Person status or eligibility for export authorization.
