belle-anna.com
ABOUT BELLE ANNA
Belle Anna is an independent womenswear brand creating collections across ready-to-wear, resortwear, swimwear, knitwear, and accessories.
Our design and development team is based at our atelier in Bali, Indonesia, where ideas are developed collaboratively from initial concept through sampling and final production.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Womenswear Designer to join our team full-time at our Bali atelier. This is a hands-on, multidisciplinary role for a designer who can translate the Creative Director’s seasonal vision into cohesive, commercially compelling collections and guide designs through every stage of development.
The ideal candidate combines a strong creative point of view with excellent technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and an understanding of how garments are developed and constructed. You will work closely with our Creative Director, Technical Designer, Production, Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure each collection is distinctive, executable, and aligned with the needs of both our wholesale and direct-to-consumer businesses.
This role offers meaningful creative ownership within a small, international team. It is best suited to someone who is resourceful, collaborative, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-moving independent brand environment.

- Design original womenswear across multiple categories, balancing creativity, wearability, brand identity, and commercial potential.
- Produce design draft renderings and digital CAD drawings.
- Collaborate with the Technical Designer to develop accurate tech packs, construction details, specifications, and material directions.
- Participate actively in fabric, trim, and finish sourcing for sampling and production.
- Maintain consistency and cohesion across the full seasonal collection.
Product Development
- Guide designs from initial concept through sampling, fittings, revisions, and final approval.
- Lead or participate in fittings and provide clear, actionable comments to the technical and development teams.
- Review samples for silhouette, fit, construction, fabrication, finish, and overall design integrity.
- Work closely with development and production partners to resolve technical, quality, costing, and feasibility challenges.
- Ensure design deliverables and approvals are completed according to the seasonal development calendar.
- Maintain design intent while responding practically to cost, minimums, production capabilities, and delivery requirements.
Commercial and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Use sales performance, customer feedback, and market insights provided by the sales and operations team to inform future design decisions.
- Partner with the Operations and Sales teams on range planning and the balance of hero, core, and experimental styles.
- Identify relevant mid-season opportunities and develop timely capsule styles, colorways, or textile updates when appropriate.
