Senior/Associate General Counsel-Physician

Position Overview : The Associate General Counsel will report to OUH’s Chief Legal Counsel and will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice, supporting the medical staff and physicians at OUH facilities. This role will work closely with the Medical Staff Office on credentialing, bylaws and reports to the National Practitioner’s Data Bank, be responsible for reports to the state healthcare and licensing boards and support OU Health Partners (the faculty physician group) on a wide variety of legal issues. To the extent the physicians are dually employed, this role with partner closely with the University of Oklahoma legal department. Experience : The successful candidate will have at least 3 -10+ years of experience in employment law and litigation, ideally gained in both a law firm and in-house legal department. A strong academic background and experience in healthcare and working with healthcare providers is preferred. Location/Relocation : Oklahoma City, OK. This is an onsite role with in-office attendance 5 days a week. Relocation assistance will be offered. Compensation : Commensurate with experience. Bar : Current attorney license and bar affiliation in the State of Oklahoma or the ability to obtain a license to/waive into practice in the State within twelve months.
