Summary:

The Manager, PR & Communications will be a key leader on the Integrated Marketing team. You will partner with the overarching Marketing organization and brand teams to lead visionary brand storytelling that builds corporate reputation, drives differentiated awareness, and secures impactful earned media. This role focuses on spearheading traditional PR strategy, reputation management, experiential marketing events, and comprehensive earned media tactics, as well as overseeing their flawless execution.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic communications leader with deep expertise in media relations and public relations, while remaining an integrated marketer at heart. They have a passion for bringing brands to life through earned media, high-impact experiential activations, and strategic reputation management in support of 360-degree marketing initiatives. They are experienced at working cross-functionally to invent and implement innovative PR initiatives that drive brand love, protect the corporate narrative, and deliver on strategic business objectives. This person would work across multiple brands to bring operational efficiencies, fiscal responsibility, and deep knowledge to elevate and escalate our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on the vision and strategy for comprehensive PR and earned media campaigns that elevate brand reputation and drive cultural relevance.

  • Lead the strategic direction of PR initiatives in partnership with our PR agency of record (AOR), ensuring campaigns align with overarching business and marketing objectives.

  • Spearhead traditional PR tactics, including drafting press releases, media alerts, messaging architectures, talking points, and executive briefing materials.

  • Proactively manage corporate and brand reputation by monitoring the media landscape, identifying potential risks, and assisting in crisis communications and issues management strategies.

  • Envision new opportunities to bring the brand to life and drive press buzz around new product launches, corporate milestones, tentpoles, and cultural moments.

  • Lead the strategic direction of PR initiatives in partnership with our PR agency of record (AOR), ensuring campaigns align with overarching business and marketing objectives.

  • Develop thought-leadership platforms for key executives, including securing speaking engagements, industry awards, and bylined article opportunities.

  • Lead agency and supplier resources for the day-to-day management of PR campaigns and experiential event logistics, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Serve as a communications leader within the organization, collaborating closely with internal partners—including brand marketing, CSR, DE&I, digital, and shopper marketing—to align messaging and ensure a cohesive external narrative.

  • Partner with cross-marketing and agency teams to develop KPIs, measurement frameworks, and reporting for PR growth, share of voice, and earned media value (EMV).

  • Monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of PR and experiential initiatives; make recommendations to optimize performance and communicate wins across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 8 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or experiential marketing, with a proven track record of securing high-impact earned media.

  • Strategic and operational knowledge of media relations, press event execution, reputation management, and crisis communications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PR software, media databases, and monitoring tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack) for trend spotting, sentiment tracking, and KPI reporting.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting compelling narratives, press materials, and pitches rapidly.

  • Strong strategic thinker who can conceptualize around an existing brand concept and develop PR-driven stories relevant to our target audience and the media.

  • Solid understanding of the evolving media landscape and emerging trends in experiential marketing.

  • Experience leading or supporting corporate thought-leadership and executive visibility programs.


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $124,000.00 - $174,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
