Social Studies and History Teacher

We are looking for a Social Studies & History Teacher for an international school in Beijing. This position is available from the upcoming 2026/27 academic year in September 2026. About the school This is an international school located in Haidian. The school offers a combination of the national curriculum and US Common core to its students in elementary and middle school, and US Common core, AP, IGCSE and A-Level in high school. Job responsibilities Teach the subjects of social studies and history to middle school students and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience Lead or assist in conducting extra-curricular clubs or Enrichment programs up to 3 hours and or teams/academic classes/study halls Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers Develop supportive and safe learning environments Bachelor degree or above in the related subject Teaching certificate Three or more years teaching experience in the subject Excellent communications skills Annual Salary 380,000 to 480,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications Housing allowance is 8,800 RMB or free on-campus lodging Paid summer and winter holiday and public holidays Contract fulfillment bonus International cover health Insurance for teachers and their dependents Social Insurance & Medical Insurance Flight to school from point of origin and relocation allowance Visa fees are covered by the school Annual flight allowance 3 meals free for school days Education for dependents (5-18 years) Professional development opportunities Rich staff activities, clubs.
