Software Engineer, Backend / Full Stack

About the Role

Join an engineering team building financial infrastructure for nonprofit payments. You will own backend and full-stack systems from design through production, helping shape architecture and product decisions in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain backend applications and components that support payment platform functionality.

• Contribute to architecture decisions across APIs, backend systems, and infrastructure, and help establish engineering standards.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teammates on technical discussions, design decisions, and product development.

• Improve real-time monitoring and alerting to better understand system and user behavior.

• Work across the platform on projects spanning backend services and full-stack product needs.

What We're Looking For

• Two to ten years of backend engineering experience, including ownership of scalable systems from design through production.

• Proficiency in Go or Node.js, plus experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.

• Experience with Terraform, AWS, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and gRPC.

• Fintech or payments infrastructure experience is valuable.

• A bachelor's degree in a technical field and strong software engineering fundamentals.

• Experience at a growing company, established organization, or startup.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $180,000 to $230,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
