What you'll be doing As our Software Engineer III, Backend - Consumer Wealth Domain, you’ll be the person who plays a key role in building and operating the backend services that enable millions of users to grow and manage their savings and investments seamlessly. Here's what your day-to-day will look like: Own the Feature Lifecycle – Design, build, test, and operate backend services for savings and investment products—from initial technical design to production—using Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL. Build Scalable Wealth Products – Develop and maintain core functionalities like the "Invested Money Box", automated savings goals, and investment portfolios, ensuring high reliability and transactional consistency. Master a Modern Tech Stack – Take ownership of our AWS-based infrastructure (EC2/ECS, S3, Lambda, Kinesis) and contribute to architectural improvements to ensure smooth integration across wealth-related microservices. Work in an AI-Powered Environment – Leverage AI tools daily to write and optimize code, speed up root cause analysis, and generate documentation, raising the bar for engineering efficiency. Solve Complex Financial Problems – Turn financial requirements into scalable technical solutions, balancing delivery speed with the extreme precision required by wealth management systems. Collaborate & Lead Quality – Work cross-functionally with Product and UX teams while actively contributing to code reviews, post-mortems, and refactoring initiatives to promote engineering best practices. Drive System Reliability – Debug complex issues across services, investigate production incidents, and share learnings with the team to continuously improve the health of our financial engines. Who we're looking for We need a problem-solver who loves teamwork and gets things done. If you're curious and ready for real ownership, you'll fit in! Does this sound like you? Experience – You have at least 3 years of experience as a Backend Engineer in fast-paced environments, with a strong track record of building and maintaining scalable microservices. Technical Foundations – Solid expertise in Java & Spring Boot, with exposure to cloud environments (AWS is a plus) and relational databases. Financial Precision – You care deeply about performance, data integrity, and transactional consistency—essential when handling users' savings and investments. Teamwork and Communication – You excel at cross-functional collaboration and can communicate complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical peers. Passion and Language Skills – You are passionate about FinTech, wealth management, or startup environments and are fluent in English. Salary: €38,000 - €46,000 gross per annum This range is set using objective, gender-neutral criteria for the role's core requirements. However, we do not believe in putting a ceiling on talent. The final compensation package is tailored according to your unique experience and expertise.
