WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

We are looking for a Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer to join our automation and software team on the Galileo Project, the European satellite constellation for positioning and navigation. You will be working on one of Europe’s most ambitious space initiatives, helping to transform critical infrastructure into a service-oriented, automated, cloud-native platform that is equipped to tackle the challenges of cybersecurity, resilience and the operation of complex systems. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for:

• Deploying, configuring and operating middleware services on Kubernetes platforms.
• Automating the installation, updating and lifecycle management of platform components.
• Taking part in defining and implementing DevOps and GitOps practices.
• Integrating monitoring, observability and security solutions to ensure the services operate correctly.
• Collaborating on incident resolution, problem analysis and the continuous improvement of the platform.
• Contributing to the design, validation and security of cloud-native infrastructures and applications.
• You will have the opportunity to expand and apply your knowledge of: Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies, automation, DevOps and GitOps, observability and platform monitoring.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for people with an interest in the space sector and with knowledge of:

• Linux/UNIX environments
• Experience in scripting (bash)
• Python
• Containers and orchestration with Kubernetes
