ROLE OVERVIEW The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team, collaborating with consultants, specialists, nurses and allied healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care. The role will involve the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. • Conduct comprehensive cardiac consultations and develop appropriate treatment and management plans. • Interpret relevant diagnostic investigations, including ECGs, echocardiography, stress testing and other cardiac investigations within the scope of practice. • Manage patients with conditions including hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias and other cardiovascular disorders. • Provide appropriate preventive cardiology and risk-factor management. • Collaborate with other specialties for multidisciplinary patient management and continuity of care. • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with applicable clinical and patient-safety standards. • Participate in clinical meetings, quality improvement initiatives and service development activities.
