The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced HCPC Registered Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the North West Rehabilitation Service. This is an excellent opportunity to work with older adults and people with disabilities who present with complex physical, neurological, health and social care needs. The successful candidate will manage a varied and complex clinical caseload, working both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and expert clinical advice across community settings. The service is focused on promoting independence, supporting self-management, preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and facilitating timely discharge from hospital through person-centred rehabilitation and coordinated care.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) may be able to provide visa sponsorship for certain roles, subject to the post meeting the relevant eligibility criteria. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and will be determined on a case-by-case basis following interview and during the pre-employment verification process. Monday to Friday 8.30am until 4pm and occasional weekends 5 out of 7 day contract
Key Responsibilities
The post holder will undertake comprehensive assessments and deliver specialist physiotherapy interventions for adults with complex and often multifactorial conditions. Working autonomously, they will develop, implement and evaluate treatment plans, using advanced clinical reasoning and rehabilitation techniques to maximise functional independence and rehabilitation outcomes. The role includes managing a professional caseload, undertaking case coordination responsibilities, leading interdisciplinary goal setting and discharge planning, and liaising with health, social care and third-sector partners to ensure seamless care delivery. The successful candidate will assess and provide specialist equipment where appropriate, maintain accurate clinical records, offer expert advice and support to patients, carers and colleagues, and contribute to service development, audit activity and quality improvement initiatives. In addition, the post holder will support the day-to-day delivery of the physiotherapy service, supervise staff and students, participate in recruitment and induction processes, and contribute to the education and development of colleagues across the multidisciplinary team.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and maintenance of a professional portfolio.
- Knowledge of rehabilitation and community physiotherapy practice.
- Experience of managing patients with complex physical, neurological and multi-pathology conditions.
- Understanding of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary team working.
- Knowledge of assessment, treatment and rehabilitation approaches for older adults.
- Experience of case management and discharge planning.
- Knowledge of risk assessment and promoting functional independence.
- Ability to supervise, mentor and support staff and students.
- Understanding of clinical governance, audit and quality improvement processes.
- Experience of delivering education, training and health promotion activities.
- Competent in maintaining clinical records and using computerised patient information systems.
- Knowledge of relevant HCPC standards, professional guidelines and local policies.
- Full UK driving licence (Essential)
- Desirable: Experience of community rehabilitation services, older people's services and neurological rehabilitation.
