Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Neurosurgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Al Ain . The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnosis, surgical treatment, and follow-up care for patients with disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nervous system. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the Specialist will deliver evidence-based, patient-centered neurosurgical care while contributing to the hospital's commitment to clinical excellence. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of neurosurgical conditions. Perform elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures within the scope of specialist practice. Treat conditions including: Brain tumors Traumatic brain and spinal injuries Degenerative spine disorders Hydrocephalus Intracranial hemorrhage Cerebrovascular disorders Peripheral nerve disorders Spinal trauma and disc disease Interpret diagnostic investigations, including CT, MRI, angiography, and neurophysiological studies. Develop individualized treatment plans and provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care. Participate in emergency and trauma call rotations as required. Collaborate with neurologists, intensivists, orthopedic surgeons, rehabilitation physicians, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, continuing medical education (CME), and departmental meetings. Stay updated with the latest developments and advances in neurosurgery. Qualifications Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution. Completion of specialist training in Neurosurgery . Minimum 3 years of post-specialization experience as a Specialist Neurosurgeon in a reputable hospital. Western education and/or clinical experience (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or equivalent) is preferred. Eligibility for or possession of a valid DOH Specialist License (or eligibility to obtain one). Demonstrated expertise in cranial and spinal neurosurgery. Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
