About the role

You'll provide evidence-based, person-centred speech pathology services to NDIS participants and other community clients across the lifespan, with a strong focus on functional communication, social participation, and quality of life. You'll work closely with participants, families, support workers, and other allied health professionals to deliver practical, goal-focused interventions in homes, clinics, schools, and community settings.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and swallowing assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans aligned with participant goals and NDIS plans.
  • Work collaboratively with families, support coordinators, support workers, and other clinicians.
  • Provide training, coaching, and practical strategies to build capacity in the participant's support network.
  • Complete clear, timely progress notes, reports, and NDIS documentation.
  • Adhere to professional, ethical, and organisational standards and policies.
  • Provide therapy in clinic, home, school, telehealth, and community environments.
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and trauma-informed service culture.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
  • Current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Current AHPRA registration is required at the time of commencement.
  • Experience or strong interest disability, or community-based practice.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply for this position.
  • Sound clinical reasoning and commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with participants and families.
  • Person-centred, strengths-based, and culturally responsive practice.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning, reflective practice, and quality improvement.
