This is a highly strategic, technically grounded leadership role designed for an internal champion—someone currently excelling in Systems Engineering, Product Management, TME, or Corporate Strategy—who wants to scale their impact globally. As a Director, you will look beyond traditional transactional interactions to transform how the world's most influential analysts perceive our technology. You understand that modern AR is no longer just about managing “the dot" on a chart, it is about architecting the categories that define the future of cybersecurity. Leading a high-caliber team, you will act as a chief strategist at the intersection of product innovation and market perception, translating complex AI and security telemetry into authoritative narratives that influence the Fortune 100. Your Impact Architect Strategic Influence: Lead and scale an advanced AR program that engages a modern ecosystem of boutique analysts, tier-one firms, and AI-native researchers who shape global enterprise buying journeys. Drive the Market Intelligence Loop: Act as a premier internal consultant to our Product and Engineering organizations. Leverage your technical fluency to synthesize analyst insights and competitive intelligence directly into core engineering roadmaps. Define Next-Gen Categories: Conceptualize and drive proactive AR strategies that define entirely new spaces, positioning Palo Alto Networks as the pioneer in emerging markets like AI-Runtime Security and Autonomous SOCs. Elevate Executive Narratives: Partner closely with executive communications and cross-functional leaders to sharpen our disruption narratives, ensuring our spokespeople are positioned as the definitive technical voices in cybersecurity. Own Algorithmic Visibility: Ensure Palo Alto Networks’ technical leadership is accurately indexed and captured by the next generation of AI-driven research platforms and generative search engines. Lead High-Stakes Evaluative Cycles: Oversee the end-to-end execution of critical evaluative research (Gartner Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves) across our portfolio, enforcing absolute technical precision, velocity, and premium execution. Modernize Impact Measurement: Shift the AR organization from legacy metrics ("volume of briefings") to data-driven business impact, measuring success through inquiry share of voice, sales acceleration, and analyst-driven pipeline. Qualifications Your Experience 12+ years of experience in technical roles (SE, PM, TME, Technical Marketing) or Corporate Strategy. You have deep expertise in Enterprise Cybersecurity, Cloud architectures, and automated platforms. Experience directly hiring, managing, and inspiring high-performing teams, with a track record of cultivating an execution-focused, low-ego, and collaborative culture. Exceptional ability to deconstruct complex engineering milestones, AI systems, and Zero Trust frameworks into human-centric, high-impact business value narratives. A passion for rewriting the conventional way of corporate communications, replacing it with data-driven, multi-channel influence strategies. A natural capacity for establishing deep, trust-based partnerships with both deeply skeptical external analysts and high-growth internal stakeholders. A proven track record of maintaining strategic focus, exceptional composure, and execution excellence during compressed evaluative seasons and major global product launches. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field; an MBA or advanced technical degree is highly preferred.
