WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Maintenance/Engineering team in planning, overseeing and improving preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Review preventive and corrective work order activities and provide troubleshooting support & equipment maintenance history review.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including implementation of change controls and maintenance projects.
  • Support contractor/vendor management for maintenance activities and provide contractor/vendor invoice and purchase order support.
  • Participate in equipment/system-based Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to update equipment reliability plans.
  • Perform equipment related GMP investigations and EHS investigations, root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action implementation.
  • Collaborate with Production and Quality Team members on troubleshooting, equipment improvements and operator care.
  • Promote safety within the workplace by following site safety procedures and perform proactive safety assessments, foster a safe work culture.
  • Provide input on capital projects regarding equipment selection, specifications and maintenance requirements.
  • Support general facility maintenance including pest control management, grounds maintenance and facility repairs.
  • Assist with management, review and archival of maintenance documents.
  • Contribute to project tasks and milestones, organize work to meet deadlines, and apply basic team effectiveness skills within the immediate work team.

HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED (Minimum Requirements)

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a master's degree with 0+ years of experience; OR an associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in reliability-based maintenance practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and provide simple and accurate instructions.
  • Demonstrated computer and technical skills.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and written skills.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE (Preferred Requirements)

  • Experience with regulatory compliance and quality standards in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Clean room (aseptic) manufacturing experience.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practices {part of GxP}.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such.
    as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving.


PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This is an on-site role at a penicillin manufacturing facility. Candidate must not be allergic to penicillin.
  • Lifting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, ability to perform mathematical calculations and complex data analysis, problem solving.
  • Ability to work in clean room conditions.
  • Ability to write general correspondence and technical reports.
  • Requires good written, oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Requires good planning, organizing, time management and team participation skills.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Regular Work Schedule:

  • Standard (M-F) daytime. Overtime work may be required. Work requires on-site presence. Occasional national/international travel is posisble for equipment factory acceptance testing, training seminars, vendor meetings, work progress meetings, etc.

Non-Regular Work Schedule:

  • At different times of the year, this position will work long hours for scheduled manufacturing shutdown periods.
  • Although this is primarily a first shift role, candidate must be willing to work weekends and off shifts to support planned and unplanned production outages as need arises when equipment is unexpectedly down.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $82,700.00 to $137,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
