The Global Communications and Corporate Marketing function at Medtronic owns integrated communications activities that strengthen trust, reputation, business growth, and employee alignment, while continuously working in more connected, digital, data-driven, and AI-enabled ways.
The Sr. Program Manager, Communications Strategy & Integration sits on the Global Communications and Corporate Marketing (GCCM) Operations team and reports to the GCCM Chief of Staff. This role helps turn GCCM priorities into clear plans, communications, tools, and leader-ready materials that help teams stay aligned and move work forward. Responsibilities may be led independently or completed in partnership with others on the Operations team.
The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking with exceptional execution. They bring experience translating strategy into actionable plans have worked in healthcare or another highly regulated industry, and are comfortable driving alignment across a matrixed global organization. In-person exchanges are invaluable to our work. We’re working a minimum of 4 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. This role sits at the Medtronic Operational Headquarters in Fridley, MN.
Primary responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Translate GCCM priorities into actionable program plans with clear milestones, owners, timelines, communications, and measures of success.
Lead or consult on priority initiatives from planning through implementation, such as annual strategic planning, goal-setting and organizational integrations.
Manage program progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, adoption needs, and outcomes; address obstacles and keep work moving.
Prepare dashboards, briefings, presentations, options, and recommendations that help the Chief of Staff and GCCM leadership make informed decisions.
Write and edit executive messages, strategic summaries, talking points, FAQs, status updates, and other materials that make priorities and decisions clear.
Plan and support GCCM-wide communications and forums, including town halls and the Integrated Communications Network, to keep teams informed and aligned.
Partner across GCCM, regions, Operating Units, and corporate teams to gather input, align stakeholders, clarify roles and handoffs, and coordinate execution.
Maintain shared planning resources, including the GCCM resource library, and use AI-enabled tools to improve content development, visibility, and efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in executive communications writing, copyediting, and message development
Experience in integrated communications and/or corporate marketing planning
Demonstrated ability to facilitate executive-level discussions, build consensus, and influence outcomes across a matrixed organization without direct authority
Experience applying generative AI and automation tools to content development, workflow optimization, and project delivery
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information, advise senior leaders, and translate insights into clear communications and recommendations
Experience using measurement, data analysis, and performance reporting to improve program outcomes
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
