Fully remote role in either US or Canada
Base salary (DOE): $180-320k, bens and meaningful equity
Open to all US and Canadian citizens, Green card holders as well as visa transfers (e.g. OPT, H1B transfers)
Most data sits in a warehouse doing nothing. My client is a a. hugely successful software product company that is building out the team for one of their products.
This product provides a purpose-built no-code suite of features that enables anyone, regardless of their SQL experience, to activate data directly from their warehouse.
We're hiring a product-minded backend engineer to help decide what comes next.
On the table:
- Warehouse performance — pushing warehouses past what they were built for, through query optimisation, pre-computed state and vendor-specific improvements.
- Analytics & experimentation — helping customers build segments, test audiences, and see what's actually working downstream.
- Real-time syncing — as warehouses adopt CDC, how close to real-time can audience computation get?
- Generative AI — making acting on data feel seamless rather than technical.
You'll likely bring:
- 6+ years building backend systems, including time at a high-growth startup somewhere between Series A and E
- Language agnostic
- Strong systems design fundamentals and a feel for how large-scale data processing behaves under pressure
- A product brain — comfortable writing specs, iterating on feedback, and getting on a call with a user
- Clear communication and a genuine appetite for unsolved problems
This is a senior role, but impact and growth potential matter more here than years on a CV so if you're a superstar with 4 years experience in a high-growth startup then we need to talk!
