Staff Product Manager

About the Role

Join an AI-native legaltech company as its first product hire, owning product strategy for an agentic AI platform for enterprise contracting. You will shape the roadmap and build the product function from the ground up, working closely with engineering and customer-facing legal specialists.

What You'll Do

• Set product strategy and roadmap, making clear decisions about what to build and when.

• Gather and synthesize customer feedback from legal specialists working directly with customers.

• Partner with engineering to plan and scope work, adapting delivery practices for AI-assisted development.

• Discuss AI and agent architecture tradeoffs with engineers and quickly prototype product ideas.

• Establish product practices for prioritization, documentation, launches, and measuring success.

What We're Looking For

• Five to ten years of product management experience, including roadmap ownership in an AI-focused engineering team.

• Experience shipping core AI or LLM-based products to production in an AI-centric environment.

• Hands-on experience with modern AI frameworks or agentic systems, including evaluation, latency, model behavior, and context considerations.

• Background in B2B SaaS or AI-native products, plus early-stage startup experience, founding experience, or experience as a first product hire.

• Experience prototyping with tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, and analyzing product data with SQL or coding agents.

• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with engineers on product scope and delivery.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $180,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

On-site in New York, New York, United States. Candidates must be able to work in the New York City metropolitan area; relocation assistance is not available.
