Strategic Project Lead, Human Data

Location: Onsite, Bay Area

We deliver TB-scale multimodal datasets against external acceptance criteria covering format, coverage, and quality. Engineering owns the pipeline and you own everything automation can't decide — whether the data is genuinely good, whether coverage is on track, and whether a delivery is ready to ship.

Delivery

• Own the recurring delivery cycle: assemble, verify, submit, confirm
• Produce delivery reports: volume, coverage summary, known issues
• First responder to customer feedback — triage findings, route defects, own remediation

Quality

• Run and improve the human QA layer: sampling strategy, reviewer guidelines, cross-reviewer calibration
• Track quality trends by vendor, operator, and device; act before the customer does

Vendor operations

• Review and approve or reject vendor-proposed scope against guideline
• Give specific, actionable feedback; run the loop that improves vendor output

Compliance

• Manage pre-approval submissions for restricted locations
• Track consent, metadata completeness, and labeling correctness
• Maintain device fleet records: registration, calibration, firmware, logistics status

• 5+ years in data operations, program management, or delivery management for a data-intensive product
• Owned a recurring delivery scored against external acceptance criteria
• Analytically fluent: SQL, spreadsheets, distribution dashboards; can compute a coverage gap unassisted
• Managed external vendors or a distributed workforce, including quality feedback loops
• Excellent written communication
• Comfortable with moving specifications and taxonomy changes
• High tolerance for detail

• Light Python for ad-hoc analysis
• Familiarity with video/sensor concepts: frame rate, synchronization, calibration, codecs
• Designed pricing or incentive structures for a supplier network
• Mandarin/English bilingual
