As the Nurse on our team you will work alongside our counselors, clinicians, a psychiatrist, and the program supervisor. ABOUT STEP The STEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration and Progress) Program is located in Salinas, CA. STEP provides Day Treatment Intensive (DTI) , short-term stabilization services to youth, ages 12 - 17, for an average of 15 days. Our goal is to reintegrate our youth into schools and the community with lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. All groups are designed to teach youth the skills necessary to help them learn about their mental health, provide psychoeducation, and help them learn skills to feel better and be safe. RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate illness or injuries Lead and support groups in the milieu Process referrals, schedule and participate in intakes, complete physical screenings Monitor Physician orders for medication or treatment, and prescriptions filled at outside pharmacies Maintain working relationships with Pediatricians, Specialists, Psychiatrists, Therapists, and hospitals who provide care to clients Document all nursing interventions, including maintaining medication assistance records Attend appropriate treatment reviews related to health care for youth Review all medical incident reports for shifts Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing OR Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Active CA Registered Nurse license Current CPR-BLS certification At least 21 years of age TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca’s insurance policy PREFERRED: Psychiatric Nursing experience Bilingual Spanish skill set Good critical-thinking, communication, and organization skills SCHEDULE Full-time Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4PM BENEFITS Starting at $112,101 - $126,101 per year Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam Salary increase each year $2,000 sign-on bonus for new Seneca employees 5 weeks of Paid Time Off and 11 Paid Holidays Relocation assistance may be available Comprehensive employee benefits package, including: Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, and fertility coverage Long-term disability, family leave, and life insurance 50% paid premiums for dependents 403b Retirement Plan Employer-paid Employee Assistance Plan Seneca is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness certified employer Training stipend and professional development opportunities Promotional opportunities across the agency in California
