Join our team as a Supervisor Mechanical Maintenance (Shutdowns), leading mechanical trades and Technical Officers in the planning and execution of fixed plant shutdown maintenance across our bauxite processing and materials handling assets. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and safety of our assets. Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant Maintenance, you will supervise shutdown crews on the tools — allocating mechanical resources across the shutdown window, resolving on-the-job issues as they arise, and ensuring work is delivered safely, to scope and to schedule. You will work closely with planners and reliability teams to make sure work packs, isolations and parts are ready before the window opens, and you will monitor working practices and adherence to safety procedures to ensure the safety of everyone working in the area. Located on the Western Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland, each year the operation produces more than 35 million tonnes of bauxite. Our operations are supported by a 1,900-strong workforce — including 26 per cent who are women and 25 per cent Indigenous employees. Activities include mine operations, maintenance, asset management, ports, cultural heritage management, and processing facility management.
