System Engineer – High-Tech Semiconductor Systems

The Engineering Challenge
The systems developed by the company combine servers, electronics, computing hardware, supporting equipment, and mechanical infrastructure into fully integrated cabinet systems for semiconductor applications.
The technical challenge lies not only in making individual components work, but in ensuring that the complete system performs reliably as one integrated solution.
This means balancing requirements related to performance, EMC/EMI, thermal management, electrical safety, ESD, manufacturability, serviceability, and system reliability.
As a System Engineer, you will work close to both R&D and the production floor. This allows you to understand the technology in detail while gradually developing toward broader system ownership, architecture, and technical leadership.
Your Role as System Engineer
As a System Engineer, you will take a central role in the development, integration, validation, and continuous improvement of complex high-tech systems.
You will combine hands-on engineering with system-level thinking. One moment you may be investigating a technical issue on the production floor, while the next you are discussing system architecture, component choices, or customer requirements with different engineering disciplines.
You will act as an important technical link between R&D, Production, Quality, Project Management, and the customer.
Over time, the role offers the opportunity to take increasing ownership of system architecture and technical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements into practical and technically feasible system solutions
- Participate in customer discussions and technical design reviews
- Act as the technical bridge between R&D and Production
- Integrate servers, electronics, hardware, and supporting equipment into complete systems
- Select and evaluate components based on performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability
- Coordinate and support system integration, testing, and validation
- Lead or support EMC/EMI testing and analyse test results
- Perform measurements, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
- Investigate technical issues directly on the production floor
- Identify technical risks and define appropriate solutions
- Safeguard overall system architecture and technical consistency
- Balance requirements from hardware, software, manufacturing, quality, and project teams
- Support technical decision-making across multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Contribute to reliable, scalable, and maintainable system solutions
Your Profile
- BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience in System Engineering, Integration Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or a comparable technical position
- Experience working with complex high-tech hardware or multidisciplinary systems
- Preferably experience within semiconductor equipment, high-tech systems, or machine building
- Familiarity with topics such as EMC/EMI, electrical safety, ESD, and thermal management
- Experience with system integration, testing, and multidisciplinary product development
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable communicating with customers and technical stakeholders
- Able to switch between detailed technical engineering and system-level thinking
- Comfortable taking ownership and leading technical discussions
- Strong communication skills in English and a collaborative mindset
