Systems Engineer for a navigation project If you dream about spending the day on the Moon, but you are one of those who get sick on bendy drives... Your place is here! We are expanding our teams in the space sector. We´ll get to the point; we'll tell you what's not on the web. If you want to know more about us go to GMV website. WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON? The European Space Agency’s (ESA) CELESTE programme aims to define and evaluate a new generation of satellite navigation systems based on low Earth orbit (LEO) constellations, complementing the current GNSS systems in medium Earth orbit (MEO). This programme addresses challenges relating to technology, system architecture, interoperability and the provision of high-precision, resilient and low-latency navigation services. The next phase of the programme is CELESTE In-Orbit Preparation (IOP), a large-scale project covering the end-to-end system and integrating multiple sub-programmes. The Systems Engineer role aims to take on technical responsibility for the CELESTE IOP programme, or one of its sub-programmes, leading the definition of the architecture, requirements management and technical consistency of the system. Lead the systems engineering for the assigned programme or sub-programme. Define and maintain the architecture of the LEO navigation system (space segment, signals, links, ground segment and users). Manage system requirements, including their definition, breakdown, traceability and verification. Ensure technical consistency between the various segments and disciplines (payload, platform, navigation, ground segment, operations). Coordinate system performance analyses. Lead or contribute to technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) in accordance with ECSS standards. Identify and manage technical risks and design trade-offs. Oversee the preparation of technical documentation and system models. Liaise with ESA and other stakeholders on key technical aspects. WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM? For this role, we are looking for candidates with a degree in aerospace engineering, telecommunications engineering, physics or a similar discipline. The following knowledge is also required: Experience in systems engineering applied to complex space systems. Solid knowledge of GNSS and navigation signals. Experience in defining system architecture (space, ground and user). Knowledge of ECSS standards and space project life cycles. Experience in requirements management and associated tools. Knowledge of orbital dynamics and the fundamentals of satellite constellations. High level of English (spoken and written). WHAT DO WE OFFER? 🕑 Hybrid working model and 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside your usual geographical area. 💻 Flexible start and finish times , and intensive working hours Fridays and in summer. 🚀 Personalized career plan development, training and language learning support. 🌍 National and international mobility . Do you come from another country? We can offer you a relocation package . 💰 Competitive compensation with ongoing reviews , flexible compensation and discount on brands. 💪Wellbeing program: Health, dental and accident insurance; free fruit and coffee , physical, mental and financialhealth training, and much more! ⚠️ In our recruitment processes you will always have telephone and personal contact, face-to-face or online, with our talent acquisition team. In addition, bank transfers and bank cards will never be requested. If you are contacted through any other process, please write to our team at [email protected] ❤️We promote equal opportunities in recruitment, and we are committed to inclusion and diversity.
