As a Team Leader, you will lead and supervise a team of professionals and support staff in the delivery of integrated statutory and non-statutory welfare and safety services to vulnerable children and families in remote communities. To be successful, you require an Australian tertiary qualification, eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body; sound understanding of the principles and functions of supervising staff in the delivery of statutory and non-statutory welfare services, and highly developed professional skills in conducting strength bases assessments, developing and delivering effective interventions and applying best practice principles.
In addition, you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, family and community structures, an ability to communicate and work in a culturally safe manner.
In return, you will be rewarded with an attractive remuneration package including 12% Superannuation, 6 weeks recreational and 3 weeks personal leave, additional 3 days paid leave over Christmas, 17.5% annual leave allowance, generous market and retention allowances, support to grow and develop your career, and the unique opportunity to experience the variety of work.
If you reside outside the territory, this is a great time to consider relocating to the Top End and Arnhem region and relocation assistance may be available.
Working in the region you may be based in Nhulunbuy or Darwin and experience the opportunities to travel across the region.
This is your chance to make a real difference to the lives of Territorians, both young and young at heart and experience an array of what the NT has to offer, including a rich-multi-cultural society and unique communities.
