Department Overview The Exacom Logging Recorder team is responsible for Motorola Solutions’ cloud-native logging platforms, real-time voice and radio recording engines, and AI-assisted analytics software leveraged in public safety, defense, and critical infrastructure applications worldwide. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a cross-functional Agile software development team responsible for delivering enterprise multimedia solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical leadership with exceptional people management skills, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence. This individual will work closely with Product Management, Quality Assurance, and senior leadership to ensure successful delivery of high-quality software. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional Agile engineering team Manage project execution, sprint planning, resource allocation, and delivery commitments Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement Partner with Product Management to prioritize work and align engineering efforts with business objectives Remove roadblocks and enable the team to deliver predictable, high-quality software Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, architectural discussions, CI/CD, and DevOps initiatives Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and coaching Collaborate with QA to ensure quality is integrated throughout the development lifecycle Monitor engineering metrics and continuously improve team effectiveness Basic Requirements Reuired: 5+ years of software engineering experience 2+ years leading engineering teams in an Agile environment Strong understanding of software architecture and distributed systems Experience managing Scrum teams Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills Experience balancing technical debt, feature delivery, and operational excellence Proven ability to mentor engineers and build high-performing teams Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline; equivalent practical experience will also be considered ​Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Experience leading enterprise SaaS or cloud-native applications Familiarity with multimedia technologies, VoIP, SIP, RoIP, or public safety applications Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code In return for your expertise, we’ll support you in this new challenge with coaching & development every step of the way.
