To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Technical Sales Support Engineer in our plant in [[location]]. Duties & Responsibilities : Technical support : Answer & collect technical inquiries from customers Propose existing products and offer new products developments Technical documentation and databases : Creation of product/ component datasheets Product overviews, store and release the documents in the database Maintain TSS and other technical databases and review product handling manuals Project Management and product development : Technical customer interface to align all technical aspects between the Technical-Commercial AM and the concerned internal departments Support the Technical-Commercial AM by elaborating/defining technical concepts in relation with the customer specification with the purpose to design in YAZAKI technology at the various OEM Support design engineers by the evaluation and elaboration of customer specification Manage marketing and promotion instruments (samples, data sheets…) Identify and evaluate new strategic business opportunities for our Tier-one customers in cooperation with our Key Account Managers : Collect and understand technical requirements of Tier-One customers Collaborate with internal functions, customer development engineers and project managers to define the project schedule for drawings and technical manuals Provide and present design concepts and propose existing products to the customer Identify customer and market potential Analyze or identify fundamental technical trends in the market segment Investigate cross-selling potential of newly developed products Analyze localization opportunities and follow up on implementation Support EDS BUs on cost saving initiatives on component level Provide product trainings to new employees Requirements: University degree (Technical University) Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in engineering or in another comparable function (e.g. product management, project management or technical sales) Work experience in the automotive industry is preferred Proficiency in English is mandatory, German is an advantage Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate Basic understanding of plastic materials, designing components, production methods of plastic parts (injection molding) and metal components (stamping technology) Knowledge of SAP is an advantage Knowledge of CAD Software (Catia v5/SolidWorks) is an advantage Proactive approach, attention to details and ability to set deadlines Able to undertake domestic and international travel What we offer: Flexible working hours and home office options Above-average vacation days Paid parental leave and special leave days for family events Meal allowance, complimentary free coffee, fresh fruit in the office Commuting allowance, bicycle room, free parking Health check-ups every 2 years and additionally, private health insurance Structured onboarding and professional training opportunities for improving your skills and realizing your career goals Christmas bonus and jubilee awards Family days, Christmas dinner, Sportive day and other similar events 24-hour accident insurance (domestic and abroad) Relocation support and temporary relocation opportunities to other Yazaki locations As one of the largest automotive suppliers in the world we offer an exciting and varied working environment At Yazaki, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for everyone which extends to all aspects of the employment relationship.
