Technician - Mechanical

Job Summary: We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our high performing team in Wodonga, VIC. In this role, you will complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under supervision You will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products Diagnose and repair engines Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and /or engine components Engine rebuilding and reconditioning Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation Assist with completion required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor Additional Information: Full Time / 38 hours per week Overtime as required – Penalty rates paid for all work above 38 hours All your Safety equipment / PPE and uniforms are provided and laundered Domestic Relocation from across Australia may be offered for the right candidate Local Valid Drivers License To be successful in this role you will need the following: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Cert III) or equivalent Basic level of workshop or field service experience required Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products Heavy Vehicle Experience preferred HR License preferred Critical Competencies: Health & Safety Fundamentals – Champions proactive safety behaviours and actions to prevent injuries. Diagnostics Application – Troubleshoots issues, identifies failed components, and documents solutions. Electronic Service Tool Application – Uses electronic tools to diagnose, maintain, and resolve service issues. Engine Systems Interactions – Analyses electrical and mechanical system interactions to diagnose and repair effectively. Product Repair & Maintenance – Completes quality repairs and maintenance in line with guidelines and standards. Service Documentation – Accurately records customer, equipment, technical, and repair information.
