About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Tissue Viability Nurse to join our dynamic and supportive team within Forth Valley. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with a passion for wound care and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.
As a Band 6 Tissue Viability Nurse, you will work across acute and community settings to provide expert clinical advice, education, and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals. You will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care, promoting best practice in wound management, pressure ulcer prevention, and skin integrity.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist tissue viability advice and support across the organisation.
- Undertake holistic assessments and develop management plans for complex wounds.
- Support the implementation of local and national guidelines to promote high-quality care.
- Deliver training and education sessions for multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in audit, research, and service development initiatives.
- Work closely with other specialists, community services, and acute care teams to ensure continuity of care.
- NMC Registered Nurse (Adult)
- Significant post-registration experience, including in wound care or tissue viability.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teaching skills.
- A postgraduate qualification in tissue viability or a willingness to work towards this is desirable.
