Trading Systems Engineer

I'm working on an urgent search for an experienced Trading Systems Engineer to join a high-performance trading environment in Singapore.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on engineer who can take ownership of core trading infrastructure, build systems end-to-end and work across the full trading lifecycle.

What you'll be working on:

• Trading Infrastructure: Building and scaling low-latency, high-throughput trading systems.
• Order & Execution Management: Developing and optimising order management and execution systems.
• Exchange Connectivity: Building reliable, low-latency exchange connectivity and market access protocols.
• Market Data: Engineering real-time market data feeds and high-performance data pipelines.
• Risk & Reporting: Developing pre-trade risk engines and post-trade reporting systems.
• Simulation & Backtesting: Building quantitative simulation frameworks to support trading strategies.
• AI & Automation: Implementing and maintaining self-learning loops that use AI agents to improve operational workflows.

What we're looking for:

• 7–10+ years of software engineering experience, with substantial hands-on development experience.
• A strong background in traditional financial markets, particularly institutional market-making or high-frequency trading (HFT).
• Experience across equities, options or futures.
• Proven experience building and scaling trading systems across multiple components, rather than maintaining a single system or exchange integration.
• Strong low-level programming skills, ideally in C++ or Rust.
• Experience with exchange connectivity, order management, execution, market data and risk systems.
• International experience working in major financial hubs or supporting global, multi-region trading desks.
• An independent, high-conviction engineer who can make decisions, solve complex problems and deliver under pressure.

Important: This role requires genuine traditional finance trading experience. Crypto-native or crypto-only backgrounds will not be considered. Experience in crypto does not substitute for institutional TradFi market-making or HFT expertise.

• $300,000–$400,000 base salary, plus bonus.
