Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the TD16 Caribbean team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as a Underwriter Caribbean Market / Suscriptor/a para el Caribe . You combine strong underwriting expertise with international market and client exposure, playing an active role in shaping Hannover Re's reinsurance business across the Caribbean region. You can look forward to Managing Caribbean property and casualty business within an international reinsurance environment Analyzing reinsurance submissions and assess the associated risks Calculating risk-adequate premiums and underwrite property and casualty risks Identifying market trends and monitor relevant primary insurance markets and key market participants Communication with brokers and clients and support business relationships in Spanish and English Maintaining existing client relationships and develop new contacts through business travel and industry events You come equipped with Degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Mathematics or a comparable field of study Several years of professional experience within the reinsurance industry Strong analytical skills and confident use of Excel Fluent Spanish and English language skills, together with a willingness to acquire basic German language skills Interest in travelling to the Caribbean (approximately two to four times per year) for client visits and market events, with travel planned flexibly within the team Confidence in handling complex issues, strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to an international environment You may not meet every requirement listed in the job description.
